What you can do

The University of Tasmania and Conservation Volunteers Australia are offering the opportunity for interested people to undertake short-term, intensive projects that combine on-ground work with an introduction to University teaching and concepts. You can get direct hands-on field experience in support of a good cause, while also getting a taste for the career opportunities that University study offers; all without having to sign up for a full first year. Some courses may also offer partial accreditation towards first year units, and/or HECS relief on part of your first year of study if you decide to continue!

These new field units are ideal for college students still deciding whether University is for them, anyone who wants to trial working in the areas of environment and conservation, or those who want to learn more about Tasmanian natural and cultural heritage while helping to protect it.

Take the plunge today!
