Bookend Mission

Image Description Here

The Bookend Trust inspires people to become involved in working towards positive and co-operative environmental solutions.

The Bookend Trust is an independent organisation, unique because it aims to involve all disciplines and age groups. At The Bookend Trust we believe that anyone can be involved in working towards positive environmental solutions, whether you're a student building a career or an established professional making a contribution of time, money or expertise. Any skills and experience can have an environmental application - from areas of science, multimedia, business, journalism, arts, law, building, design or marketing, work in all disciplines can make a difference.

In keeping with this mission, Bookend offers a range of opportunities to cater for people in all stages of life. Community presentations and events are a major focus, in addition to forming partnerships with other environmental initiatives.

In one such partnership with Bookend, ExpeditionClass.com engages the minds of primary students with adventure learning as they join adventurer and teacher Andrew Hughes online during his extraordinary expeditions.

For students in high school, starting to explore potential future careers, Bookend offers school visits; with speakers and documentaries to demonstrate the diversity of careers available and share real-world experiences. Bookend also facilitates a program with the University of Tasmania to give students a ‘taste’ of hands-on environmental work, with expeditions around the state.

At the University level, Bookend offers scholarships to students in any area who are pursuing studies focused on achieving environmental solutions.  In addition to supporting their studies, Bookend provides scholarship holders opportunities to mentor school students.

BE involved and discover what you could BE with The Bookend Trust.
